WW1 era pilot’s seat, believed to be from an RE8 aircraft or similar.
Constructed from aircraft grade aluminium alloy and still fitted with its steel mounting brackets this seat has been personalised by a previous pilot with a hand painted skull motif.
There is also a contemporary repair plate, probably manufactured “in the field” to keep the aircraft airworthy.
